The problem of MobileTerminal
by J.w. Schro on Jan.06, 2012, under cell phone
iOS5.0.1 jailbreak is out! After jailbroken, changin’ root passwd is so necessary. But the mobileteminal of Cydia repo doesn’t work.So I found the solution from the googlecode without using Mac or PC.
Follow the instruction below.
The version of MobileTerminal already on Cydia doesn’t work on iOS 4.0 or greater. The beta versions on this site are re-written by allen.porter, which do work on iOS 4.0, and can be found on Cydia, on an additonal repository. As stated in issue 220 , there’s no clear-cut tutorial on how to install the iOS 4.0 compatible beta, so hopefully this should help some people

Easy Install (using Cydia auto-install)
This method is the easiest and fastest, recommended for novices.
- Launch Cydia on your device, and allow it to fully load up.
- Now tap on the ”Manage” tab on the bottom, then tap on “Sources” located in the middle.
- Once your sources have loaded, tap “Edit” at the top right, then “Add” at the top left.
- Lastly, enter http://YourCydiaRepo.org and tap “Add Source”.
- Allow Cydia to do the rest of the work.
- Now that you have added this repository, do a search for “MobileTerminal”, and download it from Your Cydia Repo.
